Are you just starting out as an artist and do you have any questions on the substance of your work, or on practical matters? Don’t know where to start in order to carry out your artistic plans? During the 2011-2012 season, VTi will continue to help and inform individual artists. Every second Tuesday afternoon, we block our agendas from 2 pm to 5 pm to help starting artists with their questions about subsidy applications, infrastructure, artistic matters, contacts… These information sessions are personal, free and without appointment. A member of the VTi staff will give you guidance and will focus on the transfer of information, sector specific knowledge and the sharing of networks. The next session will take place on 21 February at VTi on the third floor of the Kaaitheater building.

De aanvraag- en toekenningsprocedure voor tegemoetkomingen in de reis-, verblijf- en transportkosten vanuit en naar het buitenland werden geëvalueerd en bijgestuurd. De bijgestuurde regeling zal ingaan op 1 mei 2011. Vanaf nu kunnen aanvragen voor tegemoetkomingen in de reis-, verblijf- en transportkosten voor initiatieven die aanvangen vanaf 1 mei ingediend worden.

Het gaat goed met de podiumkunsten in Vlaanderen. Er is veel. Heel veel uiteenlopende producties, van behoorlijk tot uitstekend, die zich richten op een steeds breder en diverser publiek. Of zouden moeten kunnen richten op…. Want de onevenredigheid tussen het aanbod en de spreiding ervan in ruimte en tijd, wordt steeds groter. Zelfs spraakmakende producties lopen vaak te kort, en hernemingen zijn helemaal problematisch. Het probleem is bekend, maar waar schuilt de oplossing?

BOZAR, Brussels - 25-26 October, 2010

On October 25-26th, different supporting institutions for the arts in Flanders organized a two-day conference on sustainable international arts policies in the context of the Belgian EU presidency.

The intention was

• to map international artistic practice in all its diversity;

• to shed more light on the main obstacles to working internationally;

• to put forward a number of tools and recommendations towards future-oriented and sustainable international arts policies on different government levels (municipal, regional/national, EU)

In 2008 keurden het Vlaams Parlement en de Vlaamse Regering een aantal wijzigingen aan het Kunstendecreet goed. De wijzigingen zijn van toepassing op alle initiatieven die zullen worden gesubsidieerd vanaf 2010. Dat betekent dat alle aanvragen voor subsidies nu moeten gebeuren volgens de nieuwe bepalingen. We zetten enkele belangrijke wijzigingen nog eens op een rijtje.
